The foundation was laid for growth in the production of hydraulics with the implementation of the first honing machine. This progress was resolutely advanced in the 60s and reached its first major success with the design and manufacturing of hydraulic mine props.

The hydraulic department was consistently expanded. The design and manufacturing of complete cylinders (telescopic cylinders) was launched.

A new administrations building became a necessity because of the fast-growing hydraulic department.

The realisation that clearly and precisely detailed processes do play an integral part in a growing business resulted in the production of the first quality control handbook.

The "August Ruhfus GmbH Federn-Hydraulik" was founded.

By this point in time, the production of hydraulics had vastly exceeded the manufacturing of suspensions. Owing to business reasons, the manufacturing of suspensions was halted.

The documentation of processes, which had begun in 1981, was confirmed in 1996 by the Burean Veritas International(BVQI) with the EN ISO 9001 Certification of Quality Management.

The company name renamed the RUHFUS SYSTEMHYDRAULIK GMBH due the closing of the production of suspensions and the expansion of hydraulic sector to include complete systems.

Go-ahead was given for major investments in manufacturing.
